Finding Fibonacci Scavenger Hunt

Date:
Saturday, August 19, 2017 - 1:00pm to 3:00pm

What do an apple, an artichoke, and a sunflower all have in common? Fibonacci! Join us as we learn about Fibonacci numbers in nature and where they can be found. Here’s a hint—they are all over the place, hidden in flowers, spirals, and more. Once you know what you’re looking for, go on a Fibonacci hunt. You’ll never look at a pinecone the same way again! Meet the park naturalist at Pickerel Pond. Please wear sturdy, closed-toed shoes and bring drinking water. This program is suitable for most ages, but especially ages 8 and up.
