| ![]() Driving Directions to Johnstown, PA. From the East: Take the PA Turnpike west bound to the Bedford Exit (#11). Take Route 220/I-99 North and take the first exit to Route 56 West, Fishertown/Cessna. Follow 56 West approximately 30 miles to Route 219 North. Take the 56 West exit (Johnstown Expressway) and follow it to the city. From Pittsburgh: Take Route 22 East. Take the Route 403 South exit and follow this approximately 8 miles into the City of Johnstown. From Washington, DC/ Baltimore, MD: Take I-70 West to Breezewood, PA. Enter the PA Turnpike westbound and follow it to Exit #11, Bedford. Take Route 220/I-99 North to the first exit, Route 56 West (Fishertown/Cessna). Follow 56 West approximately 30 miles to 219 North. Take the 56 West exit, the Johnstown Expressway, and follow it to the City of Johnstown. From Route 80 and Points North: Take Route 80 West to Route 220 South. Exit 220 South/I-99 at the Route 22 West exit just outside of Altoona. Bypass Ebensburg and pick up Route 219 South towards Johnstown. Travel approximately 20 miles and take the Route 56 West, Johnstown Expressway exit. Follow the Expressway to the City of Johnstown. From Ohio and Points West: Take the PA Turnpike East to Exit, #10,, Somerset. Travel to Route 219 North. From 219, take the Route 56 West exit, the Johnstown Expressway.
