Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art at Loretto, Saint Francis Univeristy, Loretto  15940

An important printmaker and painter of the mid-twentieth century, Adolf Dehn is best known for his satirical imagery and his bold experiments with lithography.  Less well know is Dehn's abiding love for America's farmlands, which he celebrated in all media.  This special loan exhibition comes to SAMA courtesy of the Harmon-Meek Gallery in Naples, Florida, which represents the artist's estate.  The exhibition features approximately 55 original paintings, watercolors, prints and drawings created over the course of nearly 20 years.
