![]() Hunting & Fishing While Cambria County is well known for its rich heritage and historic sites, those who enjoy the excitement of the outdoors will not be disappointed. When spring arrives in Cambria County you will be sure to find the areas lakes and streams dotted with anglers of all ages hoping for the big catch. Some of the best lake fishing can be found at Glendale Lake near Patton, Duman Lake near Belsano, and Lake Rowena near Ebensburg. While Duman Lake and Lake Rowena are stocked with trout, bass and pike can be found there as well. Glendale offers a wide variety of warm water species, including pike, bass, muskellunge, and walleye. Chest Creek, which extends from north central Cambria County to Clearfield County is considered by many to be the best trout stream in Cambria County. Cambria Countys beautiful autumn ushers in fall hunting season. From whitetail deer and bear, to rabbit, squirrel and turkey, theres a season for every hunter. Sportsmen can challenge their skills with a bow or muzzle loader, and theres even a niche for the fur trapper.
