Cambria, Somerset and Westmoreland ABATE chapters are combining our efforts to host a three day Thunder Welcome Bash at Greenhouse Park. Thursday, June 26 through Saturday, June 28. Admission to the park is FREE! Motorcycles park FREE! This year we will offer MOTORCYCLE TENT CAMPING ONLY! Feature entertainment will be provided by STRIP CLUB CHOPPERS, including a lounge complete with closed circuit TV and live web cams. The famous Strip Club Choppers will be on display and of course, the Strip Club Choppers Dancers will perform four shows daily. The full line of Strip Club Choppers custom parts and apparel will be available. We also have Bike Games, Wet T-shirt contests, Bungee Jumping, live music each night, vendors featuring food and drinks, biker apparel, Official Thunder Merchandise, custom bike parts, custom installed lighting and much more! Thursday come out for Scooter's Sundown Thunder Run, leaving Scooters at 8 PM and ending at the park. Friday and Saturday will feature guided rides to the FLIGHT 93 MEMORIAL and the QUECREEK MINE RESCUE SITE leaving the park both days at 1 PM. Go for Gallardy Poker Run
The Go for Gallardy Poker Run is an Official, International Association of Fire Fighters Motorcycle Group, 4th District Event, Sponsored by Altoona Fire Dept. IAFF Local 299, Johnstown Fire Dept. IAFF Local 463 and Summerhill Borough Fire Dept. The ride will begin on Walnut Street across from the Train Station in staggered groups of 25 bikes starting at 9:15 AM Friday June 27, 2008. The last group will depart at Noon. Riders will follow a 95 mile route from Johnstown to Summerhill FD to Altoona FD and back to Johnstown, passing through The Horseshoe Curve and The Johnstown Flood National Memorial. Proceeds benefit the Bob Gallardy Memorial Fund for Fire Fighter Training. $20 per single rider, $35 per couple. For more information call 814-248-9345. Official Thunder Welcome Bash
Cambria, Somerset and Westmoreland ABATE chapters are combining our efforts to host a three day Thunder Welcome Bash at Greenhouse Park. Thursday, June 26 through Saturday, June 28. Admission to the park is FREE! Motorcycles park FREE! This year we will offer MOTORCYCLE TENT CAMPING ONLY! Feature entertainment will be provided by STRIP CLUB CHOPPERS, including a lounge complete with closed circuit TV and live web cams. The famous Strip Club Choppers will be on display and of course, the Strip Club Choppers Dancers will perform four shows daily. The full line of Strip Club Choppers custom parts and apparel will be available. We also have Bike Games, Wet T-shirt contests, Bungee Jumping, live music each night, vendors featuring food and drinks, biker apparel, Official Thunder Merchandise, custom bike parts, custom installed lighting and much more! Thursday come out for Scooter's Sundown Thunder Run, leaving Scooters at 8 PM and ending at the park. Friday and Saturday will feature guided rides to the FLIGHT 93 MEMORIAL and the QUECREEK MINE RESCUE SITE leaving the park both days at 1 PM. Gates open Thursday at 5 PM with music from 8 PM-11 PM by Midnight Graffiti Gates open Friday at 10 AM with music from 8 PM-11 PM by KD Griff Project Gates open Saturday at 10 AM with music from 8 PM-11 PM by Inside Out Beer tents will be open from 5 PM-2 PM Thursday and 11 AM-2 AM Friday and Saturday.
