The youthful voices will be performing a concert which will feature classical as well as contemporary music for children’s choirs. Selections will include traditional songs and canons, game songs, works by Benjamin Britten, folk songs, and a combined selection called “The Comet.”
The choirs, now in their nineteenth year, are directed by Kim Rauch and accompanied by Bryan Lohr. The singers range in age from five years old to ninth grade. Assisting the choir are Inclined to Sing Interns Anna Conant and Emily Roy. The ensemble practices weekly at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church. The singers have performed with the Johnstown Symphony Orchestra, The River City Brass, and for the Tenth Anniversary of the Flight 93 Memorial in Shanksville. The choir will also make a special guest appearance at Laurel View Village this month.
