April 4: Henry Davis, Gospel piano. Dr. Davis was designated by the Smithsonian Institution to represent Gospel piano in its celebration of "100 Years of the Piano." His improvisations are thrilling.
April 11: Zelie Eger, violin. This young artist was featured by the Johnstown Symphony Orchestra in a chamber concert at the Grand Halle. She came up through the youth symphony and was its concertmaster. Her accompanist will be Jeff Hornick.
April 18: Student Jazz Band. Eric Pfeil, music teacher at Greater Johnstown High School, has put together a band of students from four high schools: Forest Hills, Greater Johnstown, Richland and Westmont Hilltop. This will be their first time performing together.
April 25: William Jeffrey Jones, organ. Dr. Jones, an accomplished organist and a leader in the Presbyterian Association of Musicians, is putting together a program that features the orchestral sounds of our restored Skinner 3,000-pipe organ.He recently began minister of music at First Presbyterian Church in Greensburg.
