The Christmas Tree in Central Park - A Holiday Tradition

The Christmas Tree in Central Park - A Holiday Tradition

In 2015 the Discover Downtown Johnstown Partnership had a vision to place an animated Christmas Tree in Central Park. With the help of over 100+ sponsor contributions, this vision became a reality...The Christmas Tree at Central Park is a 36 ft. tall tree with animated lights synced up to your favorite holiday music, and has become a major tourist attraction when the snow starts to fall and carols fill the air!

See the Tree in Action!

While the best way to see the Christmas Tree in Johnstown's Central Park is in person, you can watch the video below to see what the tree is all about. This video features the tree during a snowstorm and features music from For King and Country!

Events Around the Tree
The Downtown Johnstown Christmas Stroll & Light Up Night

Every year, the first lights of the Christmas tree at Central Park are celebrated with the annual Downtown Johnstown Christmas Stroll. This event features food vendors, live music performances, large inflatable balloons, and so much more all the way down Johnstown's Main Street. After the stroll ends the magic begins with a countdown to the first light up of the 36 ft. tall Christmas Tree!
