SUMMARY:Art in Bloom Spring Art Show
DESCRIPTION:Ebensburg’s premier art show is held the last full weekend of April at the Cambria County Courthouse and is open to artists of all skill levels. Entires are accepted in painting\, photography\, mixed media\, dimensional and drawing. Monetary prizes are awarded to 1st\, 2nd and Honorable Mention in each medium. There is a $10 entry fee per submission.

SUMMARY:Let Me Be Myself: The Life Story of Anne Frank
DESCRIPTION:This moving exhibition explores Anne Frank’s life within the larger history of the Holocaust and World War II. Through large-scale imagery and historical storytelling\, visitors will follow Anne’s journey while learning about the rise of the Nazi Party and the persecution of Jewish people across Europe. The exhibition will also feature World War II artifacts donated by local residents\, connecting this global story to the personal histories of families throughout the Laurel Highlands\, in a special exhibition titled World War II: Johnstown and Service. Community members trained as docents will guide visitors through the exhibition and help spark meaningful conversations about compassion\, resilience\, and the importance of remembering history.

DESCRIPTION:Born in Auckland\, New Zealand\, pianist Henry Wong Doe has earned top prizes\, including two “Audience Favorite” awards in the Arthur Rubenstein\,  Busoni and Sydney International Piano competitions. Performance highlights include venues such as Carnegie Hall\, New York\, Heinz Hall\, Pittsburgh\, St Martin-in-the-Fields London Esplande-Theatres on the Bay Singapore\, the Sydney Opera House in Australia and the Mann Auditorium in Tel Aviv\, Israel. He has performed as a soloist with the Pittsburgh Symphony\, Israel Philharmonic\, Sydney Symphony\, Australian Chamber and Auckland Philharmonia Orchestras.
