Cambria City Ethnic Fest 9/3 – 9/5

The Cambria City Ethnic Festival is held each year on Labor Day Weekend in the historic Cambria City Section of Johnstown, Pennsylvania. Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy this free event. The festival spans venues from 3rd to 10th ave, 1 block off Broad St., along Chestnut St.

Log House Arts Festival 9/4 – 9/5

The Log House Arts Festival happens on the Community Arts Center’s 2.5 scenic acres in the Westmont section of Johnstown, PA. The festival is one of the largest fundraising efforts that the Center does each year, hosting over 10,000 visitors annually and is a special event/fundraiser geared toward any quality handcrafted Artist/Craftsman willing to sell and/or demonstrate original work. The festival features hand-crafted items, including jewelry, pottery, florals, rugs, crafted wood and decor, tole, plants, fabric items, handbags, sweatshirts, furniture, Steelers “gear,” metal artwork, slate artwork, fudge, wine, and a distillery.

Forest Hills Labor Day Festival 9/4 – 9/5

The Forest Hills Festival is held at the Berwind Wayside Park in Saint Michael, PA. This year’s highlights include an all-you-can-eat breakfast each morning from 7:00 – 11:00 a.m. in the fire hall. Food vendors will be serving a variety of delicious meals.  A large handmade craft vendor area will feature an array of items for patrons to purchase.

American Legion County Fair 9/5 – 9/11

For those living in Cambria County, Labor Day means more than simply the end of the summer season, the beginning of school or another holiday. Labor Day signals the annual fair.  Years of work, excitement, and heartbreak went into the making of the fair as we see it today and that work goes on year after year, all year long, not just for the few days during which the fair is open.

Farmer and Threshermens Jubilee 9/8 – 9/11

This event features entertainment in all forms! The Farmer and Threshermens Jubilee will feature steam engines, antique farm equipment, craft vendors, live stage entertainment, truck/tractor/ATV/Horse pulls, and more!

Homegrown Music Festival 9/11

Welcome to the second annual Homegrown Music Festival. The purpose of this event is to showcase local bands while raising money for charity. We will be including local vendors and will be giving all profits to the Community Foundation to support local charities. This year 75% of proceeds go to COVID relief to local businesses and individuals and 25% of proceeds will go to Jessie Tree Fund, in memory of Jessie Sutherland Gordon.

Cambria County Arts and Heritage Festival 9/11 – 9/12

Laurel Highlands Historical Village is sponsoring a 2-day Arts and Heritage Festival at Duman Lake Park on Saturday Sept 11 2021 and Sunday September 12, 2021.  We are inviting Arts and Craft Vendors, food vendors, artisans, reenactors, county agencies, living history groups, and non-profits to attend our event. Our event allows you to market your products.  This event is in its second year and promises to be bigger and better.  The event will showcase, not only businesses, but your history and future.

Sandyvale Wine Festival – 9/11

Sandyvale Wine Experience has quickly become the area’s premier wine event.  Enjoy two unique wine events in one weekend! Ebensburg PotatoFest 9/25

The Ebensburg PotatoFest is an annual event in Ebensburg, PA celebrating Cambria County potatoes and its growers. It is held on the last Saturday of September each year! The county is the second largest supplier of potatoes in the state. The festival is a fun-filled day of arts, crafts, entertainment, and food for the entire family. Entertainers perform throughout the day with music to please all ages. Over 200 crafters and artisans line the streets for blocks with homemade wares and food of all kinds.

Rally at the Rock 9/24 – 9/26

Inspired Johnstown Symphony Orchestra at the Grand Halle 10/9

Aaron Copland’s Appalachian Spring depicts life in a Pennsylvania town as a family establishes themselves in a new home. Before becoming an orchestral conductor, Maestro Blachly devoted himself to composition, with over 40 commissions for ensembles of all sizes. In this one-of-a-kind program, a series of six “musical portraits” he composed over the past year for friends of the JSO will be performed by chamber ensembles and solo instruments. This partnership with Cambria City’s The Steeples Project forms a part of the inSPIREd series, which began during the pandemic and returns by popular demand.
