
Milkweed, Monarchs and Miracles

Marcy Cunkelman has been a chemical free, pollinator gardener for butterflies, birds and other pollinators for over 30 years, using native plants. She serves as a Garden Club Federation of PA, District VI Director and is a member of the Evergreen Garden Club, Indiana PA. Marcie is well-known across the state in the field of Birds and Butterflies.
Milkweed and monarchs are a perfect match in nature. Discover how to create, plant and maintain a butterfly habitat garden hosted with milkweed. Learn how to encourage annual Monarch performances on your property!
Cunkelman will share her successful milkweed practices and monarch tagging. She will provide take-home information, and offer a peek at a variety of living stages of caterpillar development. If available, milkweed seeds or seedlings will be distributed. The evening includes a Jackie’s Garden Works Green Roof tour and updates on FNB Pop Plaza rain garden prairie pollinator plants.
Light refreshments are served.
Those registered at least 3 days before the event are guaranteed class materials. Walk-ins and late registrants are welcomed and will receive materials, if available.
