Please join us on Sunday, March 17, 2019, for a Heritage Hike to Staple Bend Tunnel to celebrate the 185th Anniversary of the opening of the Allegheny Portage Railroad on March 18, 1834. This 5-mile round trip-hike will begin at 2:00 PM and will go rain, snow, shine, and/or a combination of all three! Participants will walk along the old roadbed to and from the first railroad tunnel in America and also see other remnants of the railroad along the way. The meeting place is the park trailhead along Beech Hill Road in Mineral Point. This tour is FREE, but reservations are REQUIRED.
