The Grand Halle Chamber Concert Series: Kamraton
Kamraton is an all-women group from Pittsburgh performing new and old works from all-women composers. Their mission is to challenge the boundaries of music performance, expand the contemporary chamber music repertoire, and celebrate the role of women as leaders in the arts. Together, they have premiered 40 new works, including a fully staged operatic production, and they have performed in venues and festivals such as the Pittsburgh Festival of New Music, the New Hazlett Theater’s Community Supported Arts (CSA) Series, and Cleveland’s Re:Sound Festival. The Grand Halle performance will include tonal works from Rebecca Clarke, Elizabeth Brown, Courtney Bryan, Jessie Montgomery, Li Tao, and the world premiere of a new composition by Emily Cook.
