The fourth annual Nature Works event will be held Saturday, March 7 from 10 AM – 2 PM at the BOTTLE WORKS in the Cambria City section of Johnstown. Brought to you by our sponsors: REI CO-OP, Penguin Court a Preserve of Brandywine Conservancy, Trout Unlimited Mountain Laurel Chapter, SCRIP, & Wal-Mart.
Over 20 conservation and outdoor recreation organizations will offer interactive, “hands-on” activities and education for children and adults. Make chalk from iron oxide recovered from an abandoned mine drainage treatment system, tie fishing flies, practice your turkey call, view live reptiles and amphibians, experience a photo op in a kayak, learn about local rivers and trails, and much more! Afterwards, stretch your legs on the refurbished Incline Plane Trail and learn about that project and ways you can become involved.
In addition to all the environment exhibitors, participants can enjoy two art exhibitions from Jack Paluh and Shelley Poli. Their exhibitions will be on display from March 7 – April 4 2020.
