Join us for Rhododendron Rhapsody, the Gallery’s Second Annual Garden Party, this year presenting an endless explosion of colorful rhododendron as well as many seasonal perennials.
Enjoy the lovely vistas or take a walking tour along forested paths laid out in an informal English garden setting. Small groups may go on guided tours led by knowledgeable master gardeners who will explain floral details, as well as the history and original planning behind this extraordinary 100-acre property with its amazing assortment of mature rhododendron.
Live music will be by Windsong Strings, and a classical dancer will perform. Fine wines will be served by Classic Elements. Guests will also enjoy chatting with several Plein air painters at work throughout the gardens. There will be a Silent Auction featuring unique garden art and creative gifts.
A delicious dinner by Flair of Country is included for each guest. There will be a choice of three entrees: Garlic Lime Chicken with Whiskey Marinated Pork Tenderloin, Panko Breaded Tilapia Fillet, or House Marinated Grilled Portobello Mushrooms. All to be served with Rosemary Roasted Red Potatoes, Grilled Vegetables, Zucchini Yellow Squash and Asparagus, plus Fresh Berry Salad with Poppyseed Dressing. Dinner may be enjoyed on site or packaged for convenient take away.
The garden is locally known as Winterset, and was originally cultivated by Bob Blough. The current owner is intensely interested in restoring and preserving the glorious garden. Gallery on Gazebo is grateful and happy to share this unique experience with our guests. The garden is located at 119 Old Krings Road in Richland, about ten minutes from our downtown Gallery on Gazebo. You will receive detailed location directions with your reservation.
This is an outdoor event, to be held rain or shine from 5 to 8 PM on Sunday, May 16, 2021. We will be observing all applicable Covid safety protocols. Masks and comfortable footwear are strongly suggested.
