If you want to see what artistic talent lives in the City of Johnstown, then art lovers and appreciators should travel to the BottleWorks Ethnic Arts Center to discover two breath-taking exhibits by the Allied Artists of Johnstown, Pennsylvania and abstract artist Harry Price. The Allied Artists Spring Show and The Mind’s Eye: an Exhibition by Harry Price is on display from May 6–July 2, 2021.
Once hosted in the main lobby of the Ameriserv Bank in Downtown Johnstown, The Allied Artists of Johnstown, Pennsylvania’s Spring Show has found a new home at the Bottle Works (411-413 Third Ave. Johnstown, PA 15906). The ArtWork’s Main Galleries displays more than 80 pieces of juried, original artwork ranging from metal sculptures, paintings, photography, pottery.
The second exhibit showcasing at the Bottle Works is by African American abstract artist Harry Price. Harry. Entitled the Mind’s Eye, Harry invites guests to experience his art with their total being. Common in abstract art, Harry uses the visual language of shape, color, form, and lines to create composition and challenge the logic of perspective in an attempt to reproduce an illusion of visible reality.
