On Sunday, October 10th, residents and visitors of Ebensburg are invited to celebrate the spirit of fall along the Ghost Town Trail on our annual fall foliage ride.
“This event was started as a way to highlight this great recreational resource that we have right here in our own backyard”, said Danea Koss, Community Development Director. “The event provides a fun, healthy, family-friendly activity and encourages people to get outside and discover all the history and beauty this trail has to offer.”
Riders are invited to first drop their bikes off at the Ebensburg Trailhead (YPCC), drive to where they plan to end their ride (Vintondale, Dilltown, or Saylor Park), park their car and catch a bus back to the Ebensburg Trailhead. The bus will begin picking up at designated trail parking in Saylor Park at 12:30 pm, Dilltown at 1 pm and Vintondale at 1:30 pm. The bus will then return to the Ebensburg Trailhead with an intended event start time of 2 pm. Walkers are also welcomed to participate.
Registration is required and will be accepted through by Thursday, October 7TH or until the bus is full. Please call or email Danea Koss at 814-472-8414 or [email protected]to register. Special thanks to First Student for donating the use of the bus for this event and to the Ebensburg Main Street Partnership for hosting the event.
