Rivers as Ecological and Economic Engines
- 5:00 pm: Reception
- 6:00 pm: Lecture
Kate is an international media darling, MacArthur Genius Fellow, and her NYC firm SCAPE was just awarded the Smithsonian's Cooper-Hewitt Design Award for Land. Arch.'s most innovative firm in the country. She is also the Director for the Columbia Graduate School of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation. In short, it is a big deal that she'll be in town and a learning opportunity for the whole Johnstown design/planning/advocacy community.
This event builds off of the $3.7m+ in USACE infrastructure investments that we have coordinated since 2015, and continues our community planning activities around developing a vision for our riverfronts.
