Cambria County Library serves in several capacities. It is considered the home library for all Johnstown residents and all other residents of Cambria County who live in areas without a local library. It is the headquarters of the Cambria County Library System and also the District Library Center of the Johnstown District, which encompasses Cambria, Indiana and Somerset Counties. The library also hosts tons of family-fun oriented events for all ages!

Future pro baseball players showcase their talents at one of the top-ranked amateur baseball tournaments in the country. 16-team double elimination tournament with players from the eastern to the Midwest United States. Games are played throughout Cambria County and at Johnstown's historic Sargent's Stadium at the Point the first week of August.

Built in 1926, Johnstown’s original stadium had an upper deck with a grandstand and seated 17,000 fans. Baseball greats who played at the Point include Satchel Paige, Jackie Robinson, Lou Gehrig, and Babe Ruth. Reconstructed in 2005, the stadium hosts a variety of sporting events. It was also the site of the climactic football game in the film “All the Right Moves” starring Tom Cruise, Craig T. Nelson, and Lea Thompson.
