“Consumed” & Allied Artists of Johnstown Fall Show

“Consumed” is an immersive collection by Colleen Albright of sculpture, drawing, painting, and mixed-media installation developed over the course of a year and a half. The exhibition confronts experiences that have occupied—and at times consumed—my inner life for more than a decade: anxiety, isolation, repetitive negative thoughts, disordered relationships with food, destructive patterns, and the persistent feeling of being unworthy or unseen. Some of the imagery in Consumed is intentionally unsettling.

The Allied Artists of Johnstown are made up of nearly eighty talented artists from throughout the region, each bringing their own unique skills to each and every exhibition. The Fall Exhibition will feature work from many of the AAJ members, and their work will encompass a wide variety of mediums and subject matter.
