
Located in downtown Johnstown, the Arena is home to the Johnstown Tomahawks junior hockey team and the University of Pittsburgh-Johnstown hockey team. Because the Cambria County War Memorial Arena has such a rich hockey history, the Arena was awarded the title of the 1st Kraft Hockeyville USA. Additionally the arena has hosted basketball, hockey, and wrestling tournaments; cheerleading exhibitions, an indoor football league, and many other sporting events. Recipient of the 2008 US Tennis Association’s Outstanding Facility Award. Three indoor courts replicate the playing surface of the Australian Open and three outdoor courts replicate the surface of the USTA’s US Open in New York City.

The North Central Recreation Center serves as a the premiere public ice facility of Cambria County, serving the community since 2004. NCRC is conveniently located just off of Route 422, accessible from Route 219 and Route 22. With its central location, NCRC is a short drive from the surrounding areas of Johnstown, Altoona, and Indiana. NCRC offers a variety of public programming – Learn to Skate Classes, Public Skating, Father/Son Stick Time, Drop-In Hockey Sessions, Freestyle Figure Skating, Adult Hockey League, and more. There’s something for everyone! We also offer the opportunity for private rentals of our ice. NCRC is the ideal location for a pickup game of hockey with your friends, birthday parties (with use of our party room!), and private ice skating sessions for your school, organization, or business.

Operated by the City of Johnstown, the stadium hosts numerous football and baseball games including August’s AAABA Baseball Tournament.

Offers a nearly endless network of trails (140 miles) for 4-wheelers, dirt bikes & jeeps on 6,000 acres. Timbered ravines, open grasslands, pine groves and scenic expanses. Trails are for riders of all levels, from rolling green trails, to more advanced black diamond trails. Day, Multi-Day and Seasonal passes available. ATV rentals, Guided tours. Special events.

The FJP Conference Center consists of 15,000 square feet of space that can be configured to play host to various mat sports, including wrestling and cheering. The Conference Center is located across the street from the Cambria County War Memorial Arena and therefore could be used in conjunction with the Arena to host a larger event.

13 miles of mountain bike trails including a 1 3/4 beginner trail, a 4 mile intermediate loop, and the balance of a mix of intermediate/expert and expert trails. Riding includes rock gardens, boulders, log piles and skinnies. A map of the trail system is located on the left at the driveway leading to the football field.
