“The Lightbearer”

This play takes place in the smallest of towns in the Appalachian foothills of Western Maryland. It is a sleepy burg near the Mason Dixon line forgotten and untouched by time. The Lightbearer was conceived as an outreach program to provide clothing to the naked, food to the hungry, hope to the hopeless, and cheer to the downtrodden. In this story, there are only five of the regular members now left. Five women. Holding the organization…and each other together…now.
