The Vagina Monologues

The Vagina Monologues is an episodic play by V, formerly known as Eve Ensler, based on interviews with over 200 women, that explores women’s sexuality, experiences, and the shame surrounding their bodies. It is a celebration of female sexuality and a condemnation of violence against women, with some monologues focusing on abuse, rape, and pain, while others are joyful accounts of pleasure and self-discovery. The play launched the global V-Day movement to end violence against women and girls.
