The 1ST SUMMIT ARENA @ Cambria County War Memorial, managed by ASM Global, first opened its doors in October of 1950, since then it has hosted several different events of various types of shows. Currently, the arena is home to the Johnstown Tomahawks.

The North Central Recreation Center serves as a the premiere public ice facility of Cambria County, serving the community since 2004. NCRC is conveniently located just off of Route 422, accessible from Route 219 and Route 22. On May 31, 1889, a neglected dam and a phenomenal storm led to a catastrophe in which 2,209 people died. It’s a story of great tragedy, but also of triumphant recovery. Roxbury Park serves as the hub for all of the City’s summer recreation programs. Located on 29.3 acres of land in the Roxbury neighborhood the park offers a multitude of recreation opportunities. The park is the home of over 15 City sponsored sports leagues in addition to being used as a practice and game field for high school sports and various fund raising and charity events.
