The Greater Johnstown Saddle Club is a community-based, family-oriented organization with members dedicated to promoting equine enjoyment, knowledge, and safety. The club was founded in 1961 to promote interest in equine activities. The club grounds consist of over 40 acres of beautiful wooded areas and open fields. The grounds also include a large all-purpose riding ring, a pavilion with full service kitchen and camping facilities. They have access to miles of scenic riding trails, which are adjacent to the club grounds. They also host monthly trail rides and various social activities, including an annual 3-Day Paid Trail Ride the first weekend in August.
