South Fork Fishing and Hunting Club

The Cambria Memory Project "will collect and digitize all items associated with the history of Cambria County." There are various documents in the 1889 Johnstown Flood Collection; including the Book of the Dead, deeds, items digitized from the Cambria County Historical Society and photographs. Documents discovered from the collection of John Kephart, at the Cambria County Historical Society led society members and park staff to determine the original owners of all sixteen cottages. The program will explore the history of Grandview Cemetery and why it was established. Many notable people associated with the Johnstown Flood are buried here. The cemetery includes the Unknown Plot, dedicated to the unidentified victims of the Great Flood. This program is presented by Park Ranger Elizabeth Shope.
