The Johnstown Christmas Tree – A Holiday Tradition

The Christmas Tree in Central Park - A Holiday Tradition

The tree is lit daily from November 21st, 2025, to January 8th, 2026, from 5 PM – 11 PM at Peoples Natural Gas Park!

The Story…

In 2015, the Discover Downtown Johnstown Partnership had a vision to place an animated Christmas Tree in Central Park. With the help of over 100+ sponsor contributions, this vision became a reality…The Christmas Tree at Central Park is a 36 ft. tall tree with animated lights synced up to your favorite holiday music, and has become a major tourist attraction when the snow starts to fall and carols fill the air! For the 2025-2026 season, the tree will be displayed in Peoples Natural Gas Park. The display was also named “One of the 15 Best Holiday-Light Displays in the USA” (Macaroni Kid) “Simply Incredible!”

Hometown Christmas Parade and Light Up Night

This holiday season marks the return of the Hometown Christmas Parade and the annual light-up night for the 36-foot-tall animated Christmas Tree, which is located at Peoples Natural Gas Park this year!  Join the Discover Downtown Johnstown Partnership on Friday, November 21st, at 6 PM for an unforgettable evening. The parade travels up Main Street toward the Point Stadium. The parade will turn right onto Johns Street and conclude at Peoples Natural Gas Park for the annual lighting of the Christmas Tree and Christmas Village at 7 PM, featuring holiday music favorites!
