A Live Music Experience at the Historic Roxbury Bandshell

The Roxbury Bandshell, originally constructed in 1939, is a visually impressive historic landmark located in Johnstown’s own Roxbury Park. The bandshell was constructed during the Great Depression and served as a musical outlet of hope and optimism despite the economic struggles of the day.

The Bandshell is still going strong and continues to feature year-round programming for locals and visitors to enjoy. One of their more popular events is the annual Summer Concert Series, which is sponsored by AmeriServ and other local businesses. This year’s series features everything from folk rock to alt. country music and everything in between. Some seating is available, but it is recommended that you bring your own folding chair!
