It’s Open! – Come Ride The Johnstown Inclined Plane!

A familiar Johnstown landmark is welcoming riders once again. The Johnstown Inclined Plane officially reopened on September 10th, 2026, following its rehabilitation project.

To celebrate this momentous occasion, CamTran is offering 30 days of free rides, beginning September 10th. That means visitors and locals can ride for free through October 9th, 2026!

During the initial reopening period, the Inclined Plane will operate on the following schedule:

Thursday: 11 AM–9 PM
Friday: 11 AM–11 PM
Saturday: 11 AM–11 PM
Sunday: 11 AM–9 PM

The reopening brings the Inclined Plane back into operation as a transportation and historic landmark in the Johnstown region. Whether you’re a returning rider or visiting for the first time, NOW is the perfect opportunity to experience this iconic Johnstown attraction.
